A Christian Montessori school for children ages 3 years to 15 years
Essential to truly educating the whole child is to nourish their spiritual lives. At Coastal Sage Montessori, we believe that each child is unique, made in the image of God and earnestly seeking to understand the world around them, who they are, and what they are made for. Our teachers act as guides helping our students to develop intellectually and spiritually. Each day we start with a devotional time, scripture memorization and reflections. It is our goal to develop servant leaders who are bringing all they have to those around them and into the global community.
Lessons are designed and given to each child when they are most ready to learn.
Social, emotional, and physical development is emphasized along with academic skills.
At every level of the Montessori education the children work and learn through nature. During the Elementary years the students’ outdoor learning environment includes: a garden they are responsible for tending, nature walks and ongoing nature study.
“Our son came to Coastal Sage Montessori with an IEP and a history of struggling to find a sense of belonging within a typical classroom. Within only weeks of attending the school our son showed immense improvements in all areas of academics and instead of dreading the classroom experience he was excited to attend every day. We watched as he began to see for himself that there was a place for him where he belonged in the world of learning and our son's confidence exploded as he attended and found a learning path that works best for him.”
We invite you to visit our school, meet the teachers, and observe the children in their classrooms. We encourage you to ask questions and learn about the opportunities available at all levels of our programs.
